Ablebodiedman said:
"I personally think that to get anyones attention, something similar to what that righteous Benjaminite did has to happen to wake people up. "
... So, any takers? I'd volunteer, but I'm fresh out of concubines at the moment. Also, I don't think that I'm quite righteous enough to dismember anyone. Never mind, I guess that is just something to work on.
(p.s You didn't seem to reply to my point about the lack of concern for her at all, I didn't even mention dismembering or whether there was another way to get people's attention.) -

Just noticed something else that proves the Bible is made up.
by BU2B inexodus 9 then the lord said to moses, go to pharaoh and say to him, this is what the lord, the god of the hebrews, says: let my people go, so that they may worship me.
2if you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back, 3the hand of the lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the fieldon your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats.
4but the lord will make a distinction between the livestock of israel and that of egypt, so that no animal belonging to the israelites will die.?.

Also that scripture makes it clear that Jehovah callously killed innocent animals when there were other signs that could have been given..
This from a God that supposedly notices every sparrow that falls to the ground and wants us to care for our domestic animals.
Those poor creatures were not merely bystanders caught up in a destructive act. They were targeted. Individually. -

'27 When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold.
28 He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. '
..Besides the fact that he gave her up as a sacrifice to be gang raped, his total lack of concern or awareness of what she has been through at this point suddenly strikes me as unrealistically callous, having read this again.. We wouldn't even act in that way with a dog that has just been massively abused, can you imagine?? ''alright, you've had a lie down now boy, let's go..'' -

Theists, why does God allow suffering..
by The Quiet One in..specifically, the suffering of animals.
you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.
i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

Having come across this thread, it's strange, it's something that I've never understood. The bible teach book doesn't seem to answer.
The things that you see on some nature programmes make you wonder why Jehovah made animals in this way. He must have given the snakes the ability to produce venom, and some parasites do horrendous things.
Why?? -

Active JW's, can you defend "THE TRUTH?"
by DATA-DOG inas of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

I can't believe that I was controlled so easily. Guilt trips constantly, every meeting, are you doing enough.. etc. I'll get away one day.
